LATIN CLASSES INFORMATION

August 30, 2024

Because Ginny's schedule is full with upper level students and OLLI students at Furman University, there will be NO  new Latin 101 offered. Those already enrolled in classes will continue on.

Will we be notified here when there will be another class offered? I very much would like to take this class. :)

I am going to begin setting up the classes and enrollments for Sept. 14, 2024. 

When enrollment is ready, I will post in YOUR most recent class the name/number of the class that is your new class name.  It will meet in the SAME location as your most recent class.

Enrollment will again be done by Survey Monkey.

I think we are almost set.   We have sent our check.  I am enrolled (KJBrown).  But I'm not able to get Survey Monkey to let me enroll Mark (MBrown)?   Can we do this without Survey Monkey?   Many thanks - Karen

If you're using the same device you enrolled with, Survey Monkey can be "wonky."

Which class is Mark enrolling in and I'll see if I can add him.

Is it the same as yours....102?

Yes thank you I was using the same device.   That thought dawned on me today that could be problematic!   Thank you for adding him manually - yes - he is in the same class with me.  Please note he doesn't really participate on line because it is not too tech savvy.   But we do the class work together and I wanted to make sure to support Senior Learn with his class fee :--))

Hi Everyone,

I am Rachel from New York City. Although I took Latin 101, family emergencies during the Winter and Spring caused me to miss a lot of classes. I'm glad that the new textbook will review much of what we learned last year, so I can build my Latin house on the firm foundation that Ginny mentioned.

So, you can post your background there now where all your classmates will see it.

Hi Jane,

My payment was confirmed by PayPal.  However I don't have a class enrolment number. I think I was in 101 last year but am not sure.  Also some mentioned that we'll be using a new book. volumes that I have are first volume of Latin for Americans and Volume 2 of Cambridge Latin series.
Please let me know if other books are required.

Hi Rachel,

I also missed a good part of Latin 101 owing to serious health and family issues.  I tried to study on my own but quickly recognized that it was impossible to carve out time for myself. I'm looking forward to a new year if exciting group study.

Bev...You're in Latin 103 Marcus Aurelius.  That's one of two 103 classes, which are the lowest level classes offered this year.

where you'll see the Assignments and then refresh your screen (F5 if on a pc) and choose the M. Aurelius class.
