Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO

The rules are simple:

The Challenger posts  either a title or the name of an author, but not both.

Ex:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

The Contestants guess the title or author (if it's a challenge on an author's name)  and post their answer.  If they can, the solve the entire answer. If not, they  can also suggest one of the title words or  a letter to fill in one of the blanks. One guess per "day" (between appearances of the Challenger) for each contestant.

At  the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved, the Challenger will then add only  one of the suggested letters the Contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.

The winner becomes the new Challenger.

Good Luck !!

Sorry, no D

This book has a subtitle, but it's much too long, and besides, it would give the whole thing away.

Winner!!   Winner!!   Winner!!   Congratulations, JoanP.

I haven't read it yet, but I want to sometime.  I posted a link to a review/article/whatever about it about a week ago in Non-Fiction and in the Library.  Do click on it if for no other reason than seeing the postcard they sent to the powers-that-be who were making comments about Paul Child's sexuality.

Oh you are very funny, JoanK!  I've been thinking for days of a title that will stump this sharp group.  The only thing I can come up with - a new book, by an unknown author.  Actually, this one has some appeal and I would love to hear from someone who has read it...  I have not.

_ _ _   _ O _ _ _   _ _  _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The first clue - it's new. ;)

Sorry Pedln, no "W"

_ _ _    _ O _ _ _    _ _    _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The first clue - it's new.
Second clue - it' fiction
Third clue - this author's first book.

I seem to be drawn to first books, these days.  Can't say why...

No, and I double-checked to make sure there was no "w" Pedln- but the author is a woman.  Does that help?  Since Gum begged, I'll give her the E - several E's -

_ _ E    _ O _ _ E    _ _    _ _ _ E _ _ _ _

The first clue - it's new.
Second clue - it's  fiction
Third clue - this author's first book.
Fourth clue - the author is a woman

Verrrry close, verry verry verry close!  But not exactly! :D

The final clue lies in JoanK's question above.

Frybabe's solution is only two letters off!

Hello folks!  I'm sorry, I've been sick and have not turned the computer on in ages.

Here's one that I know nothing about.  It is on my stack of books that have to be read next.  There are seven words - two per line until the last line.
