Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO

The rules are simple:

The Challenger poses and indicates either a title or the name of an author, but not both.

The Contestants guess the title or author and post their answer; if they can, the solve the entire title.   They can also suggest another letter to fill in one of the blanks.

At  the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved,
the Challenger then must add only  one of the suggested letters the contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.

The winner becomes the new challenger.

Ex:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

Good Luck !!

Two guesses this morning.  Jane was first - the "I"s have it.    Another clue - the book was first published under this title, but after the film came out, later editions of the book were published with the film title...

T  H  E  _  E        _  O  O  _  I _  H         T  H I  _  _  S

Letters guessed: e, r, h, t, o, i

Could it be These Foolish Things? Never heard of this title but it seems to fit.

WINNER!  WINNER!  WINNER!

That's it, Fry!  You'll be more familiar with the film title so popular right now - The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel?  Apparently when the movie turned out to be a success, the book was reissued, only this time with the film title.  Have you read it?  Have you seen the movie?

How about that. Now that you mention it, I think someone posted about the title change.

This is a book I am reading now. Nonfiction. Should be fairly easy.

There is indeed one R. This is not likely to be a book very many are familiar with, but it is a subject in which I am interested. Water!

That's pretty funny - a pure guess.  I thought I saw "effect" and then when the clue given was water...there it was.  It's getting late...I'll think of something for the morning.  That was a good one, Fry!

OK, since tomorrow is my day off, I'll give you Jane's T as well -   You should get it right away now - those were good letters.  I'm not even going to give you another clue.

That fits, doesn't it?  Is it a book title?  I was thinking of something else...
Will be back tomorrow to see if you get it...

If it's not what you meant, then it's not the answer.  I don't know if it's a book title...just went by the letters.

EDIT: See one, but it's NONFICTION, so wouldn't be the right answer.

Maybe somebody else can get it.

Yes, it is - Fry wins again!

I think that this is her latest book - but her "RUN"  is one that is currently in the running for June's Book Club Online discussion...
