Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO

The rules are simple:

The Challenger poses and indicates either a title or the name of an author, but not both.

The Contestants guess the title or author and post their answer; if they can, the solve the entire title.   They can also suggest another letter to fill in one of the blanks.

At  the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved,
the Challenger then must add only  one of the suggested letters the contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.

The winner becomes the new challenger.

Ex:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

Good Luck !!

Excellent, Jane you are the Winner.

The book is about William Dampier (1651-1715) who was at various times an explorer, naturalist, and buccaneer. He circumnavigated the world three times, traveling over 200,000 miles during his life. His books influenced a number of writers, explorers and naturalists (see the bottom of the wiki page for an interesting list of those he influenced).

No O or R

_  _  _  _  _

_  _  _  E

Letters guessed:    E, O, R

I'd given a H to begin. I'd left it out above and put in a different letter.  I've corrected it, so we're back on track, I think.
