BLANKO

Welcome to our newest brain teaser

The rules are simple:

The Challenger posts  either a title or the name of an author, not both.  One letter is supplied.  More information may be given, but isn't required.

Example:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

The Contestants guess--the title (or author) if they can, or a letter.  One guess between appearances of the Challenger for each contestant.

At  the end of the day, or more often if the Challenger wants, the Challenger will add one or more of the letters the Contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.  (Note that the original supplied letter might also appear elsewhere.)

The winner becomes the new Challenger.

Good Luck !!

Is that a hyphen between the first and second line?

T please.

Very good PatH. The author is Australian, and the setting is in Queensland.

Anybody want to give another guess, or shall I give you the last letter?

Well done, PatH.  I would think you could be forgiven for not coming up with Eumeralla.   :)

My curiosity was up, so I just had to go to Amazon.

Quote
The events that had far reaching and tragic consequences began at Eumeralla, a property in the Australian outback owned by Eleanor. If she could go back twenty-four years and change things, she’d wish away her children.

Set in Queensland, the book reveals forbidden love, a disputed inheritance and tangled family relationships. Eleanor and her husband are desperate to keep a secret from their children until a house clearance exposes the truth, bringing disaster to the whole family.

WINNER!

Super! That one was difficult. Yes, the first word is Eumeralla.

I have it on my list to get. My library doesn't have it, but I can borrow on my Kindle. Apparently, it doesn't have a happy ending. Not sure I'll like that much.
