Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO

The rules are simple:

The Challenger poses and indicates either a title or the name of an author, but not both.

The Contestants guess the title or author and post their answer; if they can, the solve the entire title.   They can also suggest another letter to fill in one of the blanks.

At  the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved,
the Challenger then must add only  one of the suggested letters the contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.

The winner becomes the new challenger.

Ex:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

Good Luck !!

YAY! We have a WINNER

The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon was a Nebula Winner (I think 2003). The main character is an autistic young man who is being pressured by his boss to go through an experimental therapy designed to cure it.

I see it - Defending Jacob.  Read a review in the Washington Post about this new legal thriller.  What I remember is that the reviewer said the ending was unpredictable -
This was said in high praise, likening it to Stephen King's new book.

A book with a specific date in the title? I bet my sister would know this one. It seems to me she was reading one, but the title she mentioned eludes me.

A T perhaps?

What do you think?  Is a SHOUT OUT to Fry's sister allowed? Or must she guess all of the letters - or numbers?

No T, but Jane gets the N...

_  _ / _  _ / _  _ :  _      N  O  _  E  _

Letters guessed: E, O, N, T

OK, you've got the NOVEL - and you know the rest of it is a date.  I think if you start guessing the numbers, you'll soon recognize this very memorable date - which the new novel attempts to rewrite history...unless Fry's sister comes in with it first! :D

It is a Stephen King book, so naturally Sue read it.

You're right - as I understand it,  Stephen King begins this novel on the day of the Kennedy assassination...but changes some of events of that  date-so the assassination doesn't take place.
