It is Doctor Sleep....a new Stephen King horror thing...the reviews are enough to convince me I can't ever read Stephen King. I'd have nightmares for weeks.

I've read some of King's later books that I really liked. They were not scary, but just suspenseful: THE STAND and 11/22/63 (about a man who went back in time to try to stop the assassination of President Kennedy. You learn a lot about Lee Harvey Oswald. King does some very good research.) I am currently reading UNDER THE DOME which is very good, about a town that is suddenly covered by a huge heavy glass dome which drops down and cuts the town off from the rest of civilization.

I did that once, JoanK. I totally forgot what title I picked. Fortunately, I eventually remembered it, so I didn't have to confess. Now I always write it down on one of the pads of paper by the computer.

No one wants to claim it? I'll give the victory to Pedlin, who guessed the last letter.

"Death at Devil's Bridge" is a mystery in a series by Robin Paige, pen name for Susan Wittig Albert, who writes mysteries under her own name, and her historian husband. The mysteries are fun because they have minor historical figures as characters. This one features Mr. Rolls and Mr. Royce deciding whether to build a car together in the early days of auto racing.

The confusion was because I had a senior glitch. When R was guessed, even though the book is right here, my mind flipped over to thinking it was "MURDER at devils Bridge" instead of "DEATH" and I happily put in R's and a space. The next time on, my eye caught the book, and I realized my mistake.

Hope I didn't confuse everyone.
