Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO

The rules are simple:

The Challenger poses and indicates either a title or the name of an author, but not both.

The Contestants guess the title or author and post their answer; if they can, the solve the entire title.   They can also suggest another letter to fill in one of the blanks.

At  the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved,
the Challenger then must add only  one of the suggested letters the contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.

The winner becomes the new challenger.

Ex:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

Good Luck !!

I'll let someone else finish it.  I've got company here at the beach, so it's hard to check in regularly.

Had heard of it, but have not read it.  Yes, it does sound interesting.  Love that title.

Ready for a new one?  Her goes:   FICTION.  I hated this book.

WINNER!!                WINNER!!                    WINNER!!!

ABSODEFINITELY, JoanP

A CONFEDERACY OF  DUNCES

(I don't care if this did win a Pulitzer Prize, I disliked it so much I could not finish it. I hated the way the  "hero," Ignatius, treated his mother, and found no humor in what was called a "comic masterpiece.")

I was waiting for JoanP's request to wait a few minutes so she could tell us more about Blue Highways.  I guess she's gotten sidetracked -- I know how what happens, and hope she is not ill.  But since it's been more than a few minutes.....

Here we go!     FICTION.     After reading a couple of this author's other books, I was surprised with this comic spy thriller from the 1950s.  I found it laugh-out-loud funny.  Good satire.  Loved it!
