Oh for goodness sake.  I even remember talking with JoanK about the book, and I didn't get it.  Good work, Marj.

Thanks, Pat.  I haven't read it.  At first I thought it was about gold, until the S showed up on the third word.  I got more help from my newsletter today from Galco in L.A., my favorite soda pop shop,  which showed a picture of Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland sharing a soda, and then an ad for "a new fizzy; Saranac Shirley Temple."  (Some of your favorite pop you loved as a kid is still being made, and it's sold at Galco's Soda Pop Shop.)  They also make the best egg salad sandwich in their little kitchen. Yum!

I was wondering if others here like to watch the TV quiz show Wheel of Fortune.  It and Jeopardy are my favorites.

I was reminded of a song, Wheel of Fortune, sung by Kay Starr in the 1950s.  Maybe you remember it --you can hear it on YouTube.  I have a feeling that the song might be where the title for the quiz show came from.

Well, duh, back to sleep.  Such deep thinking makes me sleepy.  LOL.

It's a fun book, starting with Hannibal and his elephants stopping for a few days on the way to invade Rome to drink naturally carbonated water at a spring. (I wonder what an elephant belch is like?)
