I'd say Thanksgiving Visitor, except you list V as used. Have to think some more.

JoanK, I do love birds. Do you help at the humingbird station?

JoanK or Pat: Have either of you visited the Bolsa Chica Nature Preserve on Pacific Coast Hiway in Huntinton Beach? Every time we go there we see something different Yesterday we saw a seal which had sneaked in and was eyeing the fish. Love to watch the pelicans dive for fish They (volunteers, I suppose) keep the wooden walkway which crosses he water scrubed clean of bird do-do, which must be quite a job. It's a great place to get my walking exercise.

Indeed we have. JoanK is a regular there, and she takes me sometimes when I visit. I've seen lots of new birds there. I'll let Joan talk about it.

MARJ: I love Bolsa Chica, and go there whenever I get a chance. (I live in Torrance, so it's a bit of a drive, ). My new wheel chair isn't as sturdy as the old, and balks at being pushed on the dirt path, so my son and I have to stick to the boardwalk.
Maybe we could arrange to meet there sometime. How has the recent drought affected it?

We don't get seals here, but the sea lions are everywhere. Recently, my son was sitting on the dock, dangling his feet in the water, when one dived right under him, practically touching him. Of course we don't get the variety of birds here: the variety of shorebirds and terns don't come here, and only a few egrets. Of course we have pelicans and several species of gulls. The Black Crowned Night Herons have become tame and will let you walk up to them.
BLUEBIRD: no, I wish I could.
