Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO

The rules are simple:

The Challenger poses and indicates either a title or the name of an author, but not both.

The Contestants guess the title or author and post their answer; if they can, the solve the entire title.   They can also suggest another letter to fill in one of the blanks.

At  the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved,
the Challenger then must add only  one of the suggested letters the contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.

The winner becomes the new challenger.

Ex:

Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:

   ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T    __ ___   ___ ___ ___ ___

What is it?

Good Luck !!

iB is a great guess, Marjifay ...

I guess I meant that I'm really interested in this title...but that's not to say that I don't find NoN Fiction fascinating too.   :D  To tell the truth, I don't know how you will react to this title!  I think it will make you smile!

_  _  _  A  T        B  E  _  _  _

Letters guessed: A, N, R, T, I, B

WINNER!

I thought so too, Marj.  Just got finished talking to my doctor about slow rise in Cholesterol level, she talking of carbs...and bread.  Then I came across this title, WHEAT BELLY  - written by a doctor.  My library has multiple copies of the book.  While I was looking into it, I thought it might be a teaser of a puzzle for BLANKO!

Quick work, JoanP!

Yes, Marj, old but good.  It's a bunch of loosely connected stories that also stand alone.  I remember reading some of them when they came out.

Good show, JoanP.

Marj, The Martian Chronicles is not among my favorite SciFi. One of my top rated SciFi books is, however, written by Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit  451. The title is the temperature at which paper ignites.

My son has a few of Bradbury's titles on the shelves up in his old room ~  someday he'll decide what to do with them.  I see them whenever I go in there to dust...which isn't too often. :D

This is fiction, I think you'd call it.  Historical fiction perhaps?  I'll check later...

WINNER!

Sorry I'm late!  Yes, Fry guessed it.  Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is one of the two titles nominated for our  discussion in April.  You have the rest of the week to add to the list if you know of a good one for the group to read together.
