Good job, Frybabe, to get it so quickly. I've read it; it is a good read. Homage to Catalonia is interesting, but somewhat flawed by a long section expounding on the particular injustice that made him feel he had to write the book. It's definitely worth reading.
I went through an Orwell phase, have read just about everything he's written. I turned off on him when I learned that he occasionally made up minor details. Not anything important, but to a scientist (me) that's an unforgivable sin, and it should be to a journalist, especially one concerned with political lies. He's good reading. There are a number of excellent essays about a wide variety of subjects. Once, back in the 60s, I read an article about Ghandi in the New York Times Sunday magazine, by an Indian, which had whole paragraphs lifted from Orwell's essay.
