He's being a baby, but it does take a few days to recover. He isn't eating much but can keep down soy milk. He is asking for me to pick up a Frosty at Wendy's and a few things from the grocery. Later on, I'll have to feed the cats for him. On top of that, his bedroom heater is not working well. He thinks there is an air lock that needs cleared. Needless to say, he is staying under the blankets.

Oh, I do hate driving in Harrisburg, especially this time of year. I'm glad for the warm up.

Driving is horrible everywhere this time of year (sigh).

Were there no more E's for Jane? I'll have an O.

Correct! You are the Winner.

I am guilty of reading only one Jack London in my life, Call of the Wild. However, I have downloaded several others. I think they are all Alaska based. Have you read any of his sea stories? I know he was very fond of deep sea fishing.

Have meant to read his Sea Wolf, but haven't yet got to it.  I've liked his novel, Valley of the Moon, and have his biography by James Haley, Wolf; the Lives of Jack London.  Went up last year to Glen Ellen in Northern California (we live near Los Angeles) and visited his lovely home and ranch there.  What was going to be a beautiful home he was building burned down, and there are just some of the stone walls left standing.  Beautiful area.

So... thanks for the tip on the new bio of him.  Hadn't heard about it.

I'll post another puzzle.

Going out now for  a late lunch - Hadley's in Cabazon on the way to Palm Springs.  Have you been there Joan?  They have wonderful nuts, dates,  dried fruits, breads, cakes, and a ton of other goodies. They've been there since 1933 and make the most yummy sandwiches -- mine will be the vegetarian: cream cheese mixed with mashed avocado, with a slice of tomato, and sprouts on their wonderful homemade-like rye bread, with a dill pickle and chips on the side.  YUM.  That's all for today folks -- see you tomorrow.
