Welcome to our newest brain teaser: BLANKO
The rules are simple:
The Challenger poses and indicates either a title or the name of an author, but not both.
The Contestants guess the title or author and post their answer; if they can, the solve the entire title. They can also suggest another letter to fill in one of the blanks.
At the end of the day if the puzzle is not solved,
the Challenger then must add only one of the suggested letters the contestants have suggested, everywhere it appears.
The winner becomes the new challenger.
Ex:
Title of Book: three words, a prize winning novel:
___ ___ ___ ___ ___ T __ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___
What is it?
Good Luck !!
_ E L E _ R _ T _
_ N
D E A T H
Letters guessed: E A R N T H D

Fairly recent non-fiction. Someone mentioned this book on SeniorLearn. Note that there are six words, some lines have two.

The N is pretty obvious so I'll toss in the only R. Ginny read this book within the past month and told us about it somewhere here. A woman wrote a memoir of what happened when she was 17.

I hoped there would be more "n"s. Well, we're still lacking vowels. An A please

Alas, there is no A.
And just the other day, Ginny told us the author of this book needed a better editor.

I thought your comment that the author needed an editor was a hint to an error in the title. I guess not.
A "Y" please. And a "K"

And she is correct. Congratulations.
The author was the lone survivor of a plane that crashed in the jungle in 1971 and made her way to safety by following a stream. It sounded good, but after all of Ginny's comments, I guess not.
